Food and music on the slopes – the winter season in Italian Trentino is not over yet!
The valleys of Trentino, once again covered with white powder after an unusually heavy snowfall, are confidently entering the second part of the winter season. Here, in the midst of the invariably majestic Alpine peaks, rising against the backdrop of the blue sky, you can effectively forget about the rush, give yourself a moment of respite and savor the Italian “dolce vita”. In particular, in the coming weeks, there will be no shortage of various meetings and initiatives on the slopes, from jazz music concerts to aperitifs overlooking the mountains.

The landscape of Trentino has once again taken on a typically winter atmosphere. Mid-February brought intense snowfall across the region, whitening the mountainside even at lower altitudes. The snow cover has reached 30-40 cm at all ski stations, guaranteeing optimal conditions on the slopes of the ski resorts in Trentino, m.in. in Monte Bondone, Paganella or Madonna di Campiglio. Also in the coming days, minimum temperatures will remain at typically wintry levels, favoring the persistence of snowfall. Winter enthusiasts can therefore look forward to 800 kilometers of perfectly snowed slopes and days spent on snow in increasingly mild, friendly temperatures. The second part of the winter season is also an opportunity to take more time for stops on the slopes, if only at sun-bathed refuges and restaurants that guarantee stunning panoramic views. But those who prefer exciting attractions or spectacular concerts to contemplating the beauty of nature, Trentino invites you to take part in one of a number of planned events.

Among the upcoming snow events confirmed is the Dolomiti Ski Jazz Music Festival, which will take place from March 5 to 13, 2022. This is a great musical event where mountains and jazz come together on the slopes, in high mountain clubs and in pubs in the ski areas of Val di Fassa and Val di Fiemme.

Also returning to the Trident calendar are HappyCheese – the most fashionable aperitifs in the Dolomites, held on the observation decks of mountain huts in Val di Fiemme, Val di Fassa and San Martino di Castrozza from March 4 to 26, 2022. The heroes of the meetings are the so-called. zero-kilometer (“zero kilometer”) cheeses, that is, belonging to the group of products to the limit of regionality, characteristic of Trentino and produced there, from beginning to end. During HappyCheese, cheeses are paired with local wines with a “green soul,” with Trentodoc mountain bubbles or with craft beer and tasty apples.

Finally, until March 17, you can take part in the unique experience that is Trentino Skisunrise. As part of the project, meetings are being held in various locations in the region, during which participants welcome the day at the top of the slope. This is not only an opportunity to admire the beautiful sunrise that emerges from behind the mountain peaks, but also to make the first tracks of the day on freshly groomed, perfectly snow-covered trails. All this surrounded by the magical colors characteristic of dawn and after a hearty breakfast at the hostel.
